
New instruments for Vidin orchestras
New instruments were received by the musicians from the Town Brass Orchestra – Vidin, the Danube Ensemble for Folk Songs and Dances and the Sinfonietta – Vidin. The instruments are delivered within project CB007.1.11.207 “Development of competitive tourist attractions for year-round festival tourism, which contributes to the diversification of tourist products in the region of Vidin – Zajecar”, RBP No RD-02-29-261 / 22.11.2016 funded under Interreg-IPA Bulgaria-Serbia Cross-Border Cooperation Program 2014-2020.
The Town Brass Orchestra – Vidin got 15 instruments: fleece, trumpets, clarinet, brass, tube, trombone, big drum and small drum, cymbals and baritones. The ensemble of the Danube Ensemble already has new gadulka, Thracian kavali, contrabass, drum, kaba-gaida and tamboura and the Sinfonietta – Vidin – with clarinet and bassoon.
Altogether, the new musical instruments are 33 in number, which will improve the quality of the cultural product and the creative process in the three orchestras will be facilitated. They will allow Vidin orchestras to participate more actively in the cultural events and festival events, which in turn will lead to improvement of the conditions for the development of festival tourism in the region.
