Another main activity within the project was the implementation of the Art green school “Danube waves” accompanying the Festival. 50 young people – 25 from Serbia and 25 from Bulgaria were together for 7 days and actively participated in various artistic workshops. The young people were also involved in organizing and conducting events within the Festival of arts “Danube Waves”. In addition to learning about the different creative industries and how an event is being organized, young people get to know the rich cultural heritage of the region, participated in a volunteer initiative, played basketball and, most of all, had fun together. The Green School within the project and its success focus on some untapped opportunities to develop a specific and alternative type of tourism targeted at young people. In the future, Vidin and Zajecar will continue to cooperate and joint efforts to develop not only festival tourism, but also to develop and offer tourist products interesting for young audiences.
